The intention of a business building business credit card is to simplify the administration of your company. Here are three ways it can benefit you:

1. It can help when employees need to buy products or services for the company. It would be too complicated to give them determined amounts of money and maintaining a control of how much they actually spent.

2. It is invaluable when your customers wish to pay with a business line of credit card. It is much simpler for your administrative process to have a business credit card which brings a series of services that can be linked to your sales process, thus, reducing bureaucracy and unproductive costs.

Reliability and validity of the power-mobility community driving assessment.

Filed under: News, other — Admin @ 4:50 pm

Reliability and validity of the power-mobility community driving assessment.

The handicap scooters Community Driving Assessment (PCDA) is a performance-based measure designed to assess driving performance of individuals using power wheelchairs or scooters in community environments. This article reports the results of pilot testing and an evaluation of the assessment’s reliability and validity. Pilot testing was conducted with a random selection of Canadian occupational therapists working in the area of mobility. Although the response rate was very low, feedback confirmed the utility of the measure and contributed to one substantive scoring revision. Reliability and validity testing was conducted with a sample of 34 drivers. Internal consistency results were positive. Interrater reliability was fair to high but limited by the lack of variability in the scores. Construct validity hypotheses were tested on the relationships between PCDA scores and vision, perception, cognition, and environmental accessibility. Results indicated no relationships between the PCDA and perceptual and cognitive function and only a weak trend for a relationship with environmental accessibility. Concurrent validity was established: PCDA scores were positively associated with the judgments of therapists familiar with the driving performance of participants. In summary, the PCDA has moderate to good reliability, and content and concurrent validity results were found. More research is needed, particularly on the underlying constructs of successful driving performance. At this point, rehabilitation professionals and their clients are urged to use this assessment to establish driving performance rather than relying on assessments of perception, cognition, or environmental accessibility to predetermine whether someone will receive power mobility. Clinicians may find this a useful tool to identify where clients are able to drive safely in community settings, to identify specific learning needs, and, through those, to promote independent living for drivers of power-mobility devices

Evaluation of a stair-climbing power wheelchair in 25 people with tetraplegia.

OBJECTIVE: To compare the performance of a power wheelchairs with stair-climbing capability (TopChair) and a conventional power wheelchair (Storm3). DESIGN: A single-center, open-label study. SETTING: A physical medicine and rehabilitation hospital. PARTICIPANTS: Patients (N=25) who required power wheelchairs because of severe impairments affecting the upper and lower limbs. INTERVENTIONS: Indoor and outdoor driving trials with both devices. Curb-clearing and stair-climbing with TopChair. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Trial duration and Quebec User Evaluation of Satisfaction with Assistive Technology (QUEST) tool; number of failures during driving trials and ability to climb curbs and stairs. RESULTS: All 25 participants successfully completed the outdoor and medicare power wheelchairs indoor trials with both wheelchairs. Although differences in times to trial completion were statistically significant, they were less than 10%. QUEST scores were significantly better with the Storm3 than the TopChair for weight (P=.001), dimension (P=.006), and effectiveness (P=.04). Of the 25 participants, 23 cleared a 20-cm curb without help, and 20 climbed up and down 6 steps. Most participants felt these specific capabilities of the TopChair–for example, curb clearing and stair climbing-were easy to use (22/25 for curb, 21/25 for stairs) and helpful (24/25 and 23/25). A few participants felt insecure (4/25 and 6/25, respectively). CONCLUSIONS: The TopChair is a promising mobility device that enables stair and curb climbing and warrants further study.

miracle mineral supplement is the new wonder treatment

There is a powerful electrostatic potential that exists between the chlorine dioxide molecule and a pathogen. When they encounter one another a change takes place and there is a reaction between them. In the process, the pathogen lets go of up to five up its electrons. This is a fatal blow to the pathogen and a win for the body. Once the electrons have been taken, the mms minerals molecule is used up as well. It is quite harmless even with its extra electrons. It then begins to break down itself, into a harmless salt byproduct. The pathogen has been done away with and all is well. It?s an amazing process that works consistently well.

Evaluation of pushrim-activated power-assisted wheelchairs using ANSI/RESNA standards

Filed under: News, other — Admin @ 7:55 am

Evaluation of pushrim-activated power-assisted wheelchairs using ANSI/RESNA standards

OBJECTIVE: To determine and compare performance of pushrim-activated power-assisted wheelchairs (PAPAW) (iGLIDE, e-motion, Xtender) on national standards. DESIGN: Engineering performance and safety evaluation. SETTING: A Veteran Affairs and university-based research center. SPECIMENS: Nine PAPAWs. INTERVENTIONS: Not applicable. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Static, dynamic stability, brake effectiveness, maximum speed, acceleration, retardation, energy consumption, static, impact, and fatigue strength. RESULTS: There was no significant difference among the 3 models in forward stability. The iGLIDE was the most stable, whereas the e-motion was the least stable model in the rearward stability tests. All PAPAWs performed equally on the slopes of 3 degrees and 6 degrees in the forward and rearward directions. Braking distance was the highest for e-motion (5.64+/-0.28m) and the lowest (1.13+/-0.03m) for the iGLIDE in forward direction. The average equivalent cycles of all PAPAWs were 318,292+/-112,776.6 cycles (n=8) on the fatigue tests. All PAPAWs passed the impact and static strength tests. CONCLUSIONS: The standards of the American National Standards Institute and handicap scooters, power wheelchairs the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America could act as quality assurance tool for wheelchairs. The standards for wheelchairs were first approved in 1990; after 17 years, exceeding the minimum values in the standards would be a reasonable expectation

Chlorine dioxide is a wonder substance

chlorine dioxide is a wonder substance

Hypochlorus acid is very important. So much so that the deficiency of this chemical is actually a disease and causes people to come down with other autoimmune problems later on. When you get sick or your body is fighting something off the demands for hypochlorous rise dramatically and so using MMS at that time would do just as well. Now if you happen to not need any of these amazing health affects them the compound just passes through benignly and does not affect you at all. The biggest advantage is that this chemical does all of this amazing work in only a few hours. It leaves only a small amount of carbon dioxide and water behind. No other medical interventions can claim to have such a powerful anti-pathogenic effect as the mms treatment, whilst maintaining such a benign presence. MMS is a revolution in medicine indeed!

Exercise responses and adaptations in rowers and spinal cord injury individuals.

Filed under: News, other — Admin @ 6:25 am

Exercise responses and adaptations in rowers and spinal cord injury individuals.

Elite rowers (ROWERS) and those who have had a spinal cord injury (SCI) are different physically in many realms. Both have physical activity histories that affect their lower-extremity extensor muscles in a dramatically different fashion. ROWERS can sustain a 500-W power output during their 5- to 6-min race. After a complete SCI, a 75-W power output might be achieved during a VO(2peak) test. Elite SCI medicare power wheelchairs racers can achieve a higher value that is similar to that of a sedentary able-bodied person. ROWERS can attain a VO(2 max) of more than 7.5 L.min(-1) and can tolerate a blood lactate of 30 mmol.L(-1). After a complete SCI in which muscles become markedly atrophied, a peak VO(2) of 2 L.min(-1) and a blood lactate of 10 mmol.L(-1) might be achieved. ROWERS rely on the 75% slow-twitch fiber composition of their trained thigh muscles to train and race. Such activity modestly increases fiber size and markedly increases mitochondrial content. After a complete SCI, affected muscle fibers markedly atrophy, maintain most of their mitochondrial content, and become fast-twitch. These data suggest remarkable plasticity of physical function to the extreme that a marked increase in energy demanding, rather continuous physical activity can make a muscle more “slow-twitch”; so it will demand less energy when contracted. In contrast, SCI eventually causes muscle to be composed of more fast-twitch fibers. Molecular biologists may explain why fast-twitch fibers, which appear ideal for some athletes because of their high power output, are abundant in muscles that are seldom recruited. Until then, our results indicate that the fiber type composition of muscle in humans is stable unless extreme alterations in physical activity are endured.

Application Enticements?

Filed under: Money, other — Admin @ 7:30 am

Application Enticements?

Many stores or financial institutions offer enticements such as discounts or prizes when someone fills out an application. If your son or daughter fills out a business line of credit card application “Just because I got 10% off my purchases that day,” the company must be contacted in writing and by phone if they do not plan to use the building business credit card in the future. Simply ‘not using’ it will not stop monthly charges from accruing (including late payments for monthly charges). This is very important and can cause hassles later on if they just ignore the notices of payments due.

The effects of rear-wheel camber on the mechanical parameters produced during the wheelchair sprinting of handibasketball athletes

Filed under: News, other — Admin @ 7:20 am

The effects of rear-wheel camber on the mechanical parameters produced during the wheelchair sprinting of handibasketball athletes

be taken into account in the search for optimal regulation of a power wheelchairs
and medical scooters. This study examined the effects of different rear-wheel camber (9 degrees , 12 degrees and 15 degrees )-today used mainly in the handibasket championship-on the various kinetic and kinematic parameters of the propulsion cycle. Eight males, all players in the French handibasket championship, were asked to participate in this study. They performed three 8 s maximal sprints as measured by a wheelchair ergometer, 9 degrees , 12 degrees , and 15 degrees of rear-wheel camber. The results of our study show that residual torque increases in proportion to the increase in wheel camber. This could explain other study results, which show a decrease in mean velocity and an increase in both power output and time of the propelling phase, in relation to the wheel camber. These results should provide the information necessary for optimal wheelchair regulation.
